True to form, my post for Will's b-day is late. His birthday was almost a week ago- July 6th but I haven't had a chance to post any birthday pictures yet. We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend with my family visiting (more pictures of our adventures on the boat coming soon). Unfortunately, Will's 2nd Birthday party at the pool had to be postponed because it looked like some nasty weather was heading straight for us. Of course, in true Florida fashion, it never actually hit us and we probably could have had the party. I was way more upset than Will because Gamma (my mom) was here to help with the bubbles and the cupcakes and all the festivities at the pool. Truthfully, she was the only reason I agreed to a party this year. Now, Sean and I will be hosting it by ourselves. Won't be the same without Gamma but what can you do? As long as she's here for the delivery of #2, I'll be a happy camper.
Will got to play with his favors by himself before we took him out for his "Birthday Adventure" to compensate for no pool time that afternoon.
Going to see "Up," Will's first movie! He loved sitting on Daddy and Gamma's lap. Apparently there wasn't enough room on my lap and he just kept bouncing between the two of them. I was just as excited as Will. As the skies continued to lighten and no thunderstorms were approaching, I was shaking my fists at the sky and needed to hang out in a dark room for a few hours.
Every night since we saw the movie, he thanks God for his "Venture." On the way to the movie, Sean kept telling him we were going on an Adventure. He also often mentions the very large pink lemonade that he sucked down throughout the movie. Happy Birthday Will!!!
