Frustrated!!!!!

Most of the time, I use this blog as a means of getting pictures out for friends and family to see, even though it's rather infrequent.  It helps me organize our pictures and keep track, however randomly and infrequently, of our family's life.  To that end, I've been trying to organize our photos into slideshows of Will's first year, slideshows for Mother's Day, family birthdays, etc. Personally, I love slideshows and ever since I saw our friend Beth's slideshow for her daughter Carter, they've been on my "to do" list.  Well, last year I organized Will's 1st year of photos into a slideshow that wouldn't burn onto a disc and recently discovered - from said friend Beth, that we needed software to burn the slideshow onto a DVD. Great! Went out, bought Roxio (recommended by Microsoft's help site as I navigated MovieMaker) and tried to copy our Mother's Day slideshows for our moms. No go. So...went through Roxio's "help" section and started over just using Roxio, no MovieMaker. The pictures are all blurry and the music won't play.  I was using my best 'ujjayi' yoga breath to keep me calm since this is about the 9th night I've tried to patiently trouble shoot and figure this darn thing out and I'm realizing that there's no technical support except for tutorials that don't include the problem that I'm having!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ARGH. And Sean's not home to tell me to step away from the computer.

All of this said, I realize that my frustration is probably influenced by Will's 30 minute nap today and the variety of hormones in charge of my brain right now, but I just had to vent.

I think I'll go watch some trashy tv or relax with my new friends in the Twilight series.

Here are a few fun pictures from our Sean's b-day a few weeks ago. They bring a smile to my face as I breathe deeply and step away from Roxio. Thanks for reading...

Oh Beth! So sorry you are having so much trouble. I feel your frustration...nothing worse than putting all your creative efforts into something and then not being able to get it to work!! I know we haven't been much help and I wish we could do more!! Crossing my fingers that you get in all figured out :)!!!

I'm glad you are making friends, even if they are fictional ones =)
